We categorize all our substances to make it easy for you to find safe cosmetics. With our categories, you can easily spot which ingredients belong to the area that you are concerned about.

More often than not, substances belong to multiple categories. For example, many cosmetic ingredients that belong to the category endocrine disruptors are also carcinogens.

These category pages are aimed to broadly describe how we have divided the substances. To know more exactly how an ingredient might affect you, please visit that ingredient’s page.
